SHIPPING INFORMATION

I have been buying items on eBay for several years, so I know what buyers want (or at least what I want).  This means I have tried to give people a good service now I am starting to sell my collection.

I am not trying to make money on shipping, but I am not intending to lose money either.

All my packages are sent out with new padded envelopes, usually with cardboard backing inside to protect the comics or magazines.

I weigh all the parcels prior to shipping to check the weight and then apply the UK mail prices.  I use PRINTED PAPERS for comics and magazines which is the cheapest way to send airmail abroad.

I have drawn up a table (below) to provide a general price guide for UK, US and Australia, based on both comics and magazines.  Other items will need you to contact me for a quote.

Insurance from the UK is extremely expensive, costing £14.00 upwards.  If you want this please e-mail me for the cost.

I have had some unfortunate experiences with parcels sent internationally via surface, which means I am not keen to send anything surface mail.  If you live outside the UK and decide you want surface (for large parcels) I will be able to send it but cannot guarantee delivery, so you do so at your own risk.  I will endeavour to provide insurance if you wish, but it is expensive.

HOW TO SEND ME MONEY

I prefer PayPal in pounds sterling, US dollars or euros.  I have a UK bank account but also a separate bank account in the US so I can accept cheques in US dollars or pounds sterling.

Please note you can now pay in either US dollars, UK pounds or euros directly using PayPal's currency arrangements.

1.  As soon as I know the result of the auction I will e-mail you (usually within 24-48 hours but occasionally my work takes me away so don't worry if it takes several days).

2.  If you are buying between 1-5 comics or magazines or 1 video then the shipping costs to the UK, USA or Canada and Europe are in the table above and you know how much it will cost.

3.  I can accept payment as a cheque in pounds sterling (UK) or US dollars (USA or Canada).  I can now accept euros via PayPal only.  I prefer payment via PayPal and you can now pay direct in pounds, euros or dollars because of PayPal's multiple currency arrangements.  Non-UK cheques take 14-21 days to clear as I have to mail them to my banks in the US or Australia and wait for clearance.

4.  If you are buying books, toys or other items, or more than 5 comics/magazines then after you have contacted me I will package them up and get the shipping costs from the post office, then e-mail you.

I've always hated the idea of putting my photo up on my web site, but as I like finding out what other people look like I thought I ought to do the same for others - so here I am.

I live in the United Kingdom, and have been collecting comics, magazines and other collectibles for 30 years.

I am now selling part of my collection, partly to make room and partly because my tastes have changed.

I have a huge collection of comics, mostly science fiction and fantasy, plus a number of books and magazines.  I used to collect multiple copies of Vampirella comics and have some very rare items which I will be auctioning.
