Many Vampirella fans were too young to collect the Warren Vampirella magazines when they were first published, yet many of the original stories by Archie Goodwin and others, often illustrated by Jose Gonzales, provided a rich background to the character, especially those explaining the original origin that was redefined during the Mystery Walk segment in the Vengeance of Vampirella series.

As a result Harris Comics produce a number of series reprinting the original Warren stories to remind the old fans (like myself) and introduce the new fans to stories they have never seen.

Originally the reprint comics reprinted original Warren covers as well (which was a delightful trip through nostalgia for the 'old hands') but then began to produce new covers for these reprints, and also to provide collectors with alternatives.

The highlight of this strategy was the decision to publish each issue of the Silver Anniversary series (to celebrate 25 years of Vampirella) with a 'good girl' and 'bad girl' cover by Jim Silke.  These comics have become collector's items, although they are apparently limited to serious collectors only as you don't see this series featuring on the eBay auction site as often as many others.

But Harris Comics produced a number of different reprint series, of which the first (Vampirella Classics) was colored for the occasion.  I have only presented the ones where alternative covers were produced (as these are the ones collectors may not know).
