Before we look at the site - I need to tell you how it all happened (briefly, I assure you ...)

Imagine the scene. I am a rediscovered comics fan (that means I've come back to comics as an adult) attending a comic mart in London (England). I am standing at a dealer's table looking through an old cardboard box of horror magazines, taking them out and flicking through the pages to see what they contain. I choose one with a savage-looking man triumphantly holding up a severed lion's head. 

I open it to flick as I have with so many others - and my life changes forever.

The reason is quite simple. I have seen for the first time Jose Gonzales' drawings of Vampirella. It knocked me out. I bought the magazine. I took it to a quiet corner of the room and devoured (there's no other word for it) the story by the late Archie Goodwin and the Gonzales' art. I went back to the dealer's table and bought every single Vampirella magazine I could find. I had become a fan.

This site is about Vampirella. I have looked at other Vampirella websites and tried to produce something different, something that other Vampirella fans could enjoy as much as I enjoy the other sites. I have put virtually every Vampirella story (from the first in a Warren magazine to the latest Harris story) into a timeline that follows our heroine throughout her long career. I have taken some of the best examples of different artists, and collected all the alternate covers for all the comics to help collectors who aren't sure if they've got every version.

I've examined Vampirella's development, her ever-changing origin and the changes in her costume over the years. I've looked for different images of Vampirella from most of the usual ones and scanned them in. In short, this site reveals Vampirella in ways I hope are both unusual and fascinating.
