The card dates from between 1912 and 1916, though possibly was taken about 1914^[1].

There are considerably more properties on the Bank than in the first decade of the twentieth century. Edge Road, for example, had almost doubled in size and so had Lime Grove Walk. The United Methodist Church on Imperial Road is on the lower left; the two buildings belonging to that church were being constructed at the time of the 1911 census^[2] so were not on the earlier pictures of Matlock Bank.
