Free eMail and Free internet access comes in all shapes and sizes, you can be overwhelmed
when it comes to choosing so draw up a list of features the must-haves and the
nice-to-haves.. An extra email address can always come in handy. You may wish to have an
extra layer of privacy, place a sepration between your personal and work mail
requirements. There are 1000s of providers in over 60 countries however the Free eMail

same address even if you change jobs or ISPs.

- It's private. You'll have your
own mailbox and your own password.
- If you want to hide your office
or shared family email address then use one of these.
These eMail accounts let you read your email from
browser wherever you might be. This means that managing your email in this way does not
need a special mail program. It also means that there is no mails stored on your PC. This
is useful if your PC becomes subject to an audit of some kind. With many of these services
you can now send and receive attachements but they are not the base choice for a email
file system. That is if you store previous emails as a record or to keep track of things.
They tend to be better for quick turn-around information, and infact the service hosting
the eMail service might not keep mail that long before you become Over Quota or
it is delete.

an "alias". All the messages that are sent to this addressare forwarded to your

should you change providors often or wish a layer of privacy or to camouflage

POP mail services
Such as MailandNews let you collect your mail
and send it via email software such as that which comes with Netscape or MSIE
(messenger/outlook) or others such as Eudroa. This soultion is idea if you manage you
email in one place and if you want to integrate other features into it such as PGP (see privacy)
