Due to a change in farm policy away from a wet slurry to a dry manure and long straw bedding system, a farm in Berkshire (UK) has a wet slurry anaerobic digester for sale. This unit was operating until recently retired. The tank is unfortunately underground and will be retained on the site for surface water control but all above ground digester equipment is available for purchase as a single lot. This comprises:
- Power supplies and digester control panel
- Boiler controls
- Electric standby boiler
- (biogas boiler (core needs replacement)
- Boiler flue
- Water header tank
- Heavy Duty Fusebox.
- Safety Fencing
Purchaser will dismantle the equipment and take away from the site which is convenient to main roads and has space for large vehicles.
Co-operation from the farm staff is assured.
Manuals are available for the plant.
Equipment is purchased 'as seen'.
Cost of the equipment is a fraction of the new price at £19,500 or best offer.
Would suit a farmer who would like to make biogas from farm waste. To convert this equipment into a working digester, the purchaser will need an insulated tank, lids (eg. the gold series lids from Practically Green) and one or two gas stirring rotary valves (again Practically Green has these available). Technical support is available. This is probably the cheapest way of getting into digestion and separation for a farm with up to 30 cubic meters of slurry per day.
