Featured models page 9: Diana

This is Diana. Note on the close-up in the first picture (date circa 1960) one of the signs of the true tight skirt lover: the skirt has been taken in at the hem to make it even narrower! Diana's husband has since sent in several more pictures of her. He's a good photographer, and his camera shows that Diana was stylish and wore tight skirts forty years ago, and she's stylish and wears tight skirts now - need I say more?

When I wrote to ask about the first picture, Diana wrote back saying:
"My husband will find you a selection of my photos with heels which are high and skirts which I have always worn very tight because I loved the line and my husband thought my buttocks sexy (!), but was originally limited by the practical need to go up stairs.
"I took them in so that my feet were about 12 inches apart when the skirt as taut - in the early years when I went by bus getting on was not straightforward as a little shove was necessary and on a 1958 motor scooter the only way was to ride side saddle and then I walked slowly for the effect and the narrowness was not the first thing that people noticed !
"Now I wear skirts very much narrower but that is related to Lycra and stretch - some of my Alaia skirts are still very restrictive with no need to have them altered to fit. Many of my very narrow clothes were specially made once I could afford them. All in all I need transport by car though fine for 200 metres and anyway I have always worn heels for leg emphasis rather than practicality - but since I ride horses a lot high heels are not for all the time by any means."
