23 March - The Victoria (away) - Won 9-0

Following the magnificent performance in the KO Cup, team captain Bulldog stuck with the same team despite the welcome return of Deano Willis to the squad. The team did not let Bulldog down.

The night started with the news that our opponents, The Victoria, had managed to beat the Prince Hal, one of our rivals for second spot in the league. How they did it is a mystery based on this performance.

Jeff 'No Fear' Tune kicked off proceedings and, at last, returned to winning ways despite losing a leg. His final leg was won in 15 darts including a 140. The leg lost by Jeff turned out to be the only one lost by the team as Bomber Harris, The Old Bill Townsend, Alan "The 'as Been" Smith, Mark 'Big M' Franks, 'Bulldog' Terry Galt, 'Cowboy' Dave Downes and Steve 'The Dart' Davies all cruised through their games.

Highlights included a ton break and a 135 for Bill, a 120 break and a ton for Alan and two tons and a 16 dart game for Mark. Last up was Simon 'The Webmaster' Moss but unfortunately The Victoria had only eight players and Simon recieved a 2-0 win by default.

The league meeting for April revealed that this result moves The Dream Team into second place in the League. With the table looking as follows:

Team Played Won Lost For Against Points
Con Club 10 9 1 70 20 18
Dream Team 10 7 3 56 34 14
Glebe Flights 10 7 3 55 35 14
Prince Hal 10 6 4 52 38 12
St Annes 11 3 8 41 58 6
Victoria 11 3 8 27 72 6
Aquarius 10 1 9 24 66 2

Remaining Fixtures: 6th April - Con Club v Victoria, Dream Team v Prince Hal, Glebe v Aquarius;                                                                   20 April - Con Club v Dream Team, St Annes v Glebe, Aquarius v Prince Hal

The Con Club will win the league tonight (April 6th) when they beat The Victoria and second spot would seem to be between The Dream Team and The Glebe Flights. The Dream Team have the harder run in but current form would suggest that they can and should win both games.
