The unpaid work unit provides supervised work for offenders on
community orders. Work undertaken includes, environmental maintenance,
painting and decorating and general clearance. This order allows
offenders to make reparation for their offences by serving the
community. Offenders can also gain employment and problem solving
skills, which will help them address their offending behaviour.
Beneficiaries of this service have included, Charitable organisations,
the disabled, the elderly and childrens' playgroups. Some of our work
is aimed at improving community safety, this is normally carried out
in conjunction with local authorities.
If you have any ideas for
projects or individual placements which would
benefit your community, please contact the Unit.
We are particularly keen to work for ethnic minority communities in
Gloucestershire.
