About
the background of
IT
Matters
IT
Matters was
formed in 1997 as an independent consultancy to small
and medium sized businesses operating primarily in Kent
and Sussex. Our goal is to provide practical advice on
getting the best value from PC-based investments
matching effective solutions to business needs.
At
a time when big IT issues are demanding attention for
action, it becomes increasingly difficult to get good
meaningful help to tackle and resolve new PC-based
requirements in a way that does not adversely impact
your profitability.
IT
Matters was
founded by Tony Crooks because there is a critical
shortage of understanding, knowledge and experience of
SME information technology needs that is truly
independent from vendors of computers and software.
Having
worked within the IT industry for many years, we are
concerned that too much of the cost, in supporting the
delivery and management of computer solutions that is
born by small business, is associated with
unnecessarily high fixed costs, including office
rental, labour overheads, etc.
We
believe that it is more appropriate to bring together
only the right IT skills as needed to meet the specific
requirements of the client.
IT
Matters does
this through the use of independent consultancy
associates who are like-minded in the need to provide
affordable expertise.
In
this way we align the delivery of the maximum skill and
knowledge with a reasonable cost structure that the
smaller business can manage.
