Mr.Bolitho, the County Library's Local History librarian, has recently retired. His successor is Lesley Kirkwood, who is available at Warwick, mornings only.

The Libraries and Heritage Department theme for 1993 is RURAL LIFE. Alcester Library is to host various events, including our own society's display of old rural photos in May. Other planned events are an exhibition by the Warwickshire College of Agriculture, Horticulture and Equine Studies, a flower display by our local Flower Club, a demonstration of spinning and weaving and an exhibition of wild flower paintings.
