On Wednesday,
April 4th at the Greig Hall, Alcester, Mr.Steve Cracknell takes as his subject
'RECENT EXCAVATIONS IN ALCESTER'
This will include the large area on Gas House Lane which revealed some interesting things. The lecture is at 8 p.m. and is not on the second Wednesday in the month, which has been our usual practice. We are expecting a more than usual large turnout
'Local Past'
started with the Spring issue of 1980, We have, therefore, been going for 10 years and
have now started our second decade. The Editor never thought that such a home-made
quarterly produced on a duplicator would last as long as this but people continue to buy
it but he and the Committee of the Society are very grateful to those who have contributed
articles over the years and to Alcester Library and the local shops which have provided
venues for the sale of 'Local Past'
