Advantages: this unique "phone" is designed for heavy SMS users, who spend more time sending messages than they do making phone calls. The full keyboard and WAP browser will make this is a great phone to stay in touch with the latest goings on with your friends or internet news. It will prove most popular with young SMS addicts, but may even prove useful in an office environment as a device to easily send out SMS with. (Sorry there's no plain colours!)

Disadvantages: Unique design will soon prove annoying if you use it more than expected for voice calls. You can only make calls using the headset.

Alternatives: A phone with predictive text input like the budget Siemens C35 which also has WAP is probably the closest traditional phone.

Compatibility with other networks: The V100 has customised software for the Orange network and comes SIM locked, that means it will only operate with Orange SIM cards. It is possible to have the phone unlocked for use on any GSM900 or 1800 network and Orange will do this for a fee. Unfortunately full compatibility when using with non Orange SIMs cannot be guaranteed.
