Yes. You will need to disconnect the cable from your mobile phone to the HomeStation. You may take your mobile phone out of the desktop charger. Can I establish a connection between the fixed network phone and the mobile phone?
No, a telephone connection from the GSM mobile phone via the HomeStation to the fixed network is not possible.
In general, no connection can be established between the two components. Can I use the HomeStation in combination with a Private Branch Exchange?
Yes, for example:
If you connect your HomeStation to the extension with the internal number "21", incoming GSM calls are forwarded only to this number. How does the HomeStation work with the answering machine of your fixed network phone and the mailbox of your mobile phone?
The answering machine works as usual with the HomeStation. Incoming calls via GSM calls are also forwarded to the answering machine.
Please note:
Note that the mailbox of your GSM mobile phone may switch on before your answering machine is able to.
If you want to use the answering machine exclusively, switch off your GSM mobile phone mailbox.
If necessary, the answering machine may also be adjusted in such a way that it accepts a call before the mailbox. What do I have to take into account if I want to use several HomeStations?
You can connect several HomeStations in series to operate multiple GSM mobile phones simultaneously.
Please note:
Whenever a GSM call comes in, it is forwarded via the HomeStation to the landlines phones. At this moment it is not possible for an additional GSM call to be taken by a different HomeStation. Therefore, in this case we recommend that you switch on the mailboxes of the GSM phones.
The distance between HomeStations should be at least 20 cm to avoid interference. How can the HomeStation improve the GSM network reception?
The HomeStation allows you to choose the best possible location for GSM-connection at home.
By using the HomeStation it is possible to make GSM calls via cordless phones for example. This allows you to avoid network strength fluctuations at home.
Of course, network reception is required at the location of the GSM phone.
For example:
You only get a decent mobile signal in one part of your house, perhaps near a window. Plug the homestation in here and leave your mobile connected in this area. Connect a cordless telephone to the homestation. You can then use your cordless handset throughout your home or garden, this means you wont miss calls you normally would due to poor signal. What conventional network phones can be used with the HomeStation?
All fixed network phones licensed in Europe are compatible with the HomeStation.
You can use all corded phones as well as all cordless phones with or without DECT standard. For which mobile phones can I use the charging unit supplied?
