As of February it is now
very easy to work out the roaming costs, as Orange have now implemented

Get international
rates direct to your phone
If you want to find out
the cost of calling or texting abroad from the UK, for example Brazil,
you simply send the message 'UK TO BRAZIL' to 159. Or if you wanted to
find out the cost of making calls from abroad, for example from South Africa,
you send the message 'FROM SOUTH AFRICA' to 159. Orange will then
send you a text back telling you how much it is. It's that simple, and
free when used from the UK.
