The mr602 phone continues Motorola's leadership in Dual Band technology after being first to market with a dualband phone over a year ago, this new handset is a radical departure to all previous Motorola handsets featuring new features and vastly improved usability. The mr602 operates on both GSM900 and GSM1800 bands and can seamlessly switch between them during a call when this is available, making the mr602 ideal for users needing the increased availability of Orange roaming abroad in over 98 countries now with more available during 1999 to make Orange the best UK service for roaming. The VoiceNote recorder lets you record up to 3 minutes of voice messages, a great benefit for users on the move. With the standard Li-Ion battery, the mr602 is capable of up to 4 hours talktime and up to 4 days standby time. There is also easy to access to Orange Text Info Information services thanks to the SIM toolkit feature. Compatibility with other networks: The mr602 has customised software for the Orange network and comes SIM locked, that means it will only operate with Orange SIM cards. It is possible to have the phone unlocked for use on any GSM900 or 1800 network and Orange will do this for a fee. Unfortunately full compatibility when using with non Orange SIMs cannot be guaranteed.
