As solicitors in Scotland we have specialised for over twenty five years in commercial debt recovery including bank and finance house work and all types of lending work whether secured or unsecured and covered by the Consumer Credit Act or otherwise.
We act for clients ranging from international banks,finance houses, vehicle retailers, builders merchants and debt collection companies through to national wholesale food and drink suppliers. As a result we have probably dealt through the years with most debt or contract problems in the financial retail and wholesale markets
We recover debts throughout the whole of Scotland and it should cost no more to obtain judgement in a local undefended case than it would in the same case in the outermost isles.
We are able to take the whole debt collection procedure from the initial instruction stage, through tracing and enquiries, pre-suing collection, pursuing court action, enforcement subsequent to judgement, obtaining payment, up to the final accounting to the client without having to relinquish any control of the case to any other party.
In Scotland we instruct Sheriff Officers (who enforce the judgements for us) directly and their future remuneration depends on the efficiency and speed with which they carry out our instructions.
Thus we expect and get almost immediate action on our enforcement instructions. Scottish Law also enables us to take various enforcement or containment steps to recover a debt in order to secure preserve or even better our client's position immediately we are instructed.
This gives us some very distinct advantages over all those collecting debts south of the border. In some instances we can secure our client's debt within hours of any instructions being received.

In addition we have developed our own computerised debt collection program which is designed purely for our clients' benefit and is not available elsewhere. Thus if the client quotes the reference number given to any particular case then the information should appear on our screens immediately. The client should never be more than seconds away from the latest information as to how the collection of any debt is progressing.
We report to each client by downloading that client's files directly to the client or by way of a disk so that the client has access on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis to any updates to our files.Clients then have access to user friendly screens showing the main points in the reports. We can handle 10,000 files for any client at any one time.
We appreciate that not all clients wish us to report to them through computers and in these cases we send each client regular printed reports detailing the position in each and every debt we are handling for that client. These reports can also be reproduced by those clients who use our download or disk reporting system if they wish.We can tailor the style and content of our reports to suit any clients needs.
