White papers
|
These are typically 2000 to 3000 word articles that describe the underlying technology, often developed for a launch of a new product or to describe in detail what a company does. I provide an all-inclusive package that gives one fixed price, depending on the length of the article, that includes all the travel, specifications, interviews and a revision. There are opportunities to spin the article into other articles targetted a specific magazines and geographical markets for a greatly reduced fee. If you are interested in this, please contact me directly.

Articles
|
These are typically 1200 to 2500 words written to a specific brief from
a specific magazine. As I already write for many technology magazines,
I know the type of content and style that editors want and encourage the
companies to provide interesting material to make a compelling article. |

Media training
|
This is aimed at electronics companies, where I provide a range of tailored half- and full-day courses taking executives through a range of skills to make them more comfortable dealing with the press and more able to get their message across. This is not about hiding facts, fooling the press or disaster management, but in giving people confidence in dealing with the press and making the most of the company resources. The courses are for small groups, with full briefings and detailed mock interviews on their technologies and products. The details of the courses are on my media training page. I have trained executives from over 20 different Uk and multi-national companies. If you are interested in this, please contact me directly for rates and availability.

Technology Training
|
For PR companies I provide a series of courses on all aspects of the world's trillion dollar electronics industry from a very basic level. This is often done in two hour courses over lunch to maximise aimed at account executives who are new to the industry, old hands who are moving into new areas and those that want a refresher and update in technology developments. This provides a safe environment where people can ask 'stupid' questions and avoid spreading incorrect information through a faulty understanding of the industry, and so impoprving the qulaity of teh service these copmanies provide to both clients and the press. These services have been used by five UK and multinational PR companies, and there are details of the courses on my media training page. If you are interested in this, please contact me directly for rates and availability.
| Market research | I am a senior analyst for InsideChips.com, and in November 2003 wrote a report on the environment for semiconductors for digital TV, including satellite, cable, terrestrial, and IPTV, as well as HDTV and personal video recorders. That report has been regularly updated, and the brochure for that report is here. It can only be purchased directly from InsideChips.com. | ||
