LESSONS
FIRST LESSON
Either a lead rein lesson or a lesson
on the lunge for your first lesson, where the aids to halt, walk, trot and how
to change direction are taught. In the
beginning it is important to learn “The basic position” as this allows you to
sit in balance and comfort on the horse, it also makes it much easier for the
horse to carry the rider. After a few
lead rein or lunge lessons you can go it alone!

Once the basic position is established, the control over the direction and rhythm of the horse
in both trot and canter are good…. its time to move on….
…. trot poles and jumping position with and without
stirrups

Starting
from scratch, normally it takes a few years
before you are able to jump; there are exceptions to this rule in the end this
depends on you!
THIS COULD
BE YOU!

If you prefer to keep all four feet on the ground then dressage is
for you. Once you have established all
the basics it is then time to start going into riding with more depth, i.e.,
how to ask the horse to work properly…. if the horse is moving with his
quarters engaged
(underneath him and pushing through with impulsion), and moving forward
up into your hand, then and only then is your horse working properly. From there you can learn lateral work i.e.
leg yielding, traver, turn on the forehand, pirouette, half pass, and many
more.
Lessons can be arranged in advance
and vary from half- an- hour to an hour, group or private. Hacks vary from half- an -hour up to two
hours and depend on the rider’s individual experience, and are always
escorted. Prices vary
accordingly.
