During the past ten years or so, I have made a determined effort to keep a photographic record of every machine that I have come into contact with. This portfolio represents just a small selection from the many hundreds of machines that I have restored, repaired, viewed or retain in my own private collection. Portable gramophones represent by far the greater percentage of machines within the portfolio. This bias has developed out of my fascination and love for the portable rather than the fact that it is probably the easiest to obtain.
The portfolio on this web site has recently been extended to include a small sample from the many accessories and ephemera that I have managed to find.
