Never before have I ever been able to write that an album has more than one performance element running throughout that one may be listening to separately within it.

Namely, that the clarity, diction and scintillating pitch, singing by Marilyn Keller coming over smoothly to the ear, evenly so in an appealingly Gospel intoned sound running through the album, makes for a Keller listening composition entirely on its own.

The unsurpassed instrumentalist complementary blending voice created by the New Orleans Delight jazz artists, blossoms out, filling the air with a beautiful sound the like of ensuring a long lasting place that there will always be for New Orleans styled jazz in musical history.

Marilyn sings on all of the fifteen songs save for one Rock of Ages substantiating - I claim - for what has been written in my opening lines, so now one may come down and enjoy listening to the CD as a whole, thus giving it three elements for the price of one as I’ve been intimating.

The fifth number My God Is Real has been chosen as the title of the album, and, although any one of the fifteen in my view could have been chosen for it, on reflection, I can see that when one completes their listening of the total the choice becomes an unique one.

An informative booklet accompanies the CD containing articles from both Marilyn Keller from Portland, USA and Vicar Sven-Erik Palmbring of Dagstorp Kyrka, Sweden with photographs of them, plus a covering two paged spread photograph of the band.

Bert Thompson, Orinda, California in his liner-notes writes freely on each of the album’s title tunes – an essential read, I'll add that the strings in the group are not sound featured in prominence.

The beauty of it for me is that I can’t select a favourite tune, which leaves me wishing that I had been there with everyone else joining in on the concert setting, and I must add that I’m taken up with the Kjeld Brandt two tunes The Old Rugged Cross, and in particular of the Precious Lord number’s fifth below tone of playing on the E-flat alto clarinet, creating an instrument sound prescience unique as I hear My God Is Real music played overall.
