On Friday the 18th of April 2008 Ken Colyer (the gov'nor) would have been 80 years of age had he lived, and on Radio 3 Jazz Library - Alyn Shipton and Michael Pointon were heard giving a unique production entitled "Exploring the “gov’nor” of New Orleans Revival in Britain" programme that evening.
Well done.

Java Coffee House Java Coffee House Java Coffee House

Renovated in 2007, this well-designed
2008 Java Coffee House & Restaurant has pleasant surroundings, starts the day with an early breakfast from 8a.m., is situated within easy walking distance for overnight sleeper passengers arriving around that time at the Inverness sole railway station, and
it serves a very nice cup of java coffee, separate from its higher top brands.
The delight here for me is that I can listen to the Brian Harvey - New Orleans Jazz - radio programme coming through
its speaker unit whilst enjoying my coffee – see link at the top of this page.

The photograph of “Strathness House”, 4 Ardross Terrace, Inverness, Scotland IV3 5NQ appears to have been taken from the Inverness Castle side of the River Ness in the Castle Road end of the Ness Bank road of the city.
The cosy bar of this family run guesthouse overlooking the Ness River was where I enjoyed my first coffee
after settling into my new abode in Inverness.
