not been possible with commercially available marketing databases
- until 1stBase, the first Direct Marketing specialists focused
on the needs of sector marketers.
What
do we mean by sector? Don't take our word, here's the marketing
guru Tom Peters: "a sector is a group of like individuals who
constitute a cohesive whole with whom we can maintain a meaningful
dialogue". In Business-to-Business marketing, until you can
identify the individuals within your target sector companies, you
don't stand a chance of creating any dialogue. At 1stBase
it is our mission to provide you with the targets you need - right
on and up-to-date.
Why
have we decided to specialise in the development of sector direct
marketing databases? Simple. As a successful direct marketing services
group we are familiar with the challenges of sector direct marketing
and the historic lack of contact data that has been refined enough
to target effectively. We, like many of our clients, have had to
work on the available data in order to identify key decision-makers
and influencers and to understand the profile of our target organisations.
This extra work has cost money and time and, on occasion, has prevented
us from acting at all. We recognise that this is an issue for many
sector marketers and, as direct marketing practitioners, we decided
to do something about it. We created 1stBase.
The
essence of strategy is that you focus on what you're trying to accomplish.
You can't be all things to all people.
