The AJS and Matchless owners club, resurrected the famous Red Marley 'freak hill climb' which is run up a steep wooded slope at Red Marley near Great Witley in Worcestershire. The pictures are deceptive: the slope reaches a gradient of 1 in 1.5 where the bikes jump near the top! First organised by Len Vale-Onslow back in the 1930's, the year 2000 re-run was open to bikes made before 1970. It is diffuclul to capture the sound of those big Matchlesses, CZs, Husqvarnas and Triumph twins in a small clip like this but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless.
