The Prairie had always appealed to me, and in 1996 I finally decided to take the plunge and buy one. I looked at more than ten examples over a period of a month or so, before finding one in very good condition.

This, the original-shape Prairie, incorporated a number of interesting design features. The Anniversary II edition was the highest specification model available in the UK, having electric windows and an electric sunroof as standard.
