About CAE Ltd
Our origins >>
Children Act Enterprises (CAE) was founded in 1991 with the publication by Fergus Smith in consultation with
Professor Tina Lyon of a 'Personal Guide to the Children Act 1989'.
That first guide sold in excess of 80,000 copies and was followed by a series of other
guides to legislation affecting children and their families.
CAE grew to the point where it provides full time occupation for Fergus and a
small number of carefully selected consultants. These individuals work singly, in pairs or as a team
to provide CAE's
services to a growing number of social care agencies.
In the autumn of 2002 CAE incorporated and became Children Act Enterprises Ltd.
