Château Gable is set in complete tranquility in five wooded acres of private grounds adjacent to the 14th century hill village of Perreux and 5km from Roanne. It is a perfect holiday destination between the Beaujolais hills and the Madeleine mountains of the Massif Central. The vineyards of Beaujolais, Burgundy and the Roannais are nearby. The region is renowned for its culinary delights and natural rural beauty, truly "La France Profonde".

On entering the chateau you will find a magnificent hall with a ceiling height of  9m surrounded by a galleried landing with minstrel's gallery. The salon is modelled on the Music Room of the Chateau de Fontainebleau, a former king of France’s residence outside Paris. The ballroom is panelled in walnut with a superb matching fireplace. The hall has a woodburning fire and a pool table. All of these rooms are available to guests..

Accommodations:
There are 4 guest bedrooms each with its own private bathroom:
Burgundy with a double bed
Roannais with a double bed
Loire with two single beds
Beaujolais with a double bed

Additional beds suitable for children can be provided in the Burgundy and Loire rooms at additional cost.

Guests have full use of the chateau grounds with heated swimming pool, woodlands and petanque area.





Continental breakfast, included in the basic tariff, and dinner are served in the salon. Evening meals are available at a cost of 25€ per person for 4 courses, aperitifs and wine included. Or, you may choose to dine at a choice of reasonably priced restaurants or the world famous Troisgros, a Michelin three star restaurant in Roanne.
