A pretty chateau in extensive grounds with heated swimming pool on the banks of the Loire with an incredible panoramic view: the surrounding area is perfect for picnics, longs walks, boating and cycling.  Simple and comfortable, these accommodations are ideally located to explore nearby Angers and the chateaux of the Loire Valley.

A short drive to the pretty and historical villages of Saumur, Fontevraud l'Abbaye (where the Plantagenet kings of England are buried) and the large textile town of Cholet. Nantes and Le Baule on the Atlantic Coast are also within easy day-tour range. The History Theme Park of  "Le Puy du Fou" is around one hour's distance - a very good day's entertainment for the whole family.

The chateau lies within the Coteaux du Loire appellation of the larger Anjou-Saumur vineyard area and the Nantais where Muscadet is produced is just a short drive to the west.
Accommodations:
All 4 rooms/suites have valley views and their own bathrooms.

The Vallée de la Loire Suite - 2 to 5 pers -  ideal for a family or two couples: 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and independent entrance via a living room. Wonderful views on the river. I additional single bed.
 
The Anjou Suite - 2 to 5 pers - ideal for a family: 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. 2 queen size double beds plus 1 single bed.
 
The Ile de Chalonnes Room - 2 pers - charming old style queen size double room with bath tub and shower.

The St Germain des Prés Room - 2 pers - a comfortable bedroom with a double bed and a spa shower.

Your hosts speak English and French.

French breakfast is included in the basic tariff: other meals can be found at village restaurants nearby or in the city of Angers.

Popular activities: Siteseeing, hot air ballooning, cycling, golf, horse riding and of course, visits to the majestic Chateaux of the Loire starting with the most beautifully furnished Chateau Serrant. There are river cruises starting closeby and the chateau is right on the  "Loire a Velo" cycle route  along the river valley.
