Ideally located in complete peace in the heart of a 200 hectare forest estate, just to the south of Le Mans, la Noirrie offers you the charm of a French provincial manor house and good comfort bed and breakfast accomodations: you are welcome to take advantage of its swimming pool and its tennis court.

The manor was originally built between 1820 and 1824 on land sold in 1794 by a memeber of the French royal family.

Accommodations:

2 family suites and 2 double bedrooms, each with either a private shower or bathroom with toilet. Each room has a phone line (with possible Internet access) and a TV socket. Furnished with antique country pieces, the rooms all offer the comfort and the charm of a family mansion.

Infant travel cot, highchair, baby tub, playpen and changing table are available upon request.

The Grands-Parents Room:
This prestigious master bedroom is almost circular, as it occupies the major part of the tower: it has two large windows facing east and south-east, providing a magnificent view at sunrise, overlooking two huge rhododendrons thickets, which are in full bloom during May. Spacious vintage tile bathroom with bathtub and shower.

Marie-Claude Suite:
A large room overlooking the park on the south side and oak thickets on the north side. A bed with baldachino and wrought iron chairs dressed with flowered fabrics provide a distinctly feminine touch. A small adjoining room sleeps two children.

The Bernard Suite:
Facing North, this room overlooks oak thickets where you may observe squirrels at play. A small adjoining room sleeps one child.

Michel Room:
Facing South, this bedroom offers a magnificient view of the lawn and the park - right from your bed!

Guests are invited to enjoy the private park: covering 7 hectares, old oaks and coniferous trees a wonderfuld place to wander and find peace.
The swimming pool: facing South, the swimming pool is sheltered from the western winds. Children' security and water temperature are kept high by its cover.
The Tennis hard-court which is always available.

Continental breakfast is included in the basic tariff: with at least 24 hours prior notice dinner can also be provided at additional cost paid locally.

Safe off-road car parking.
Mountain bikes for loan.

Open all year.

Forests walks and hikes:  La Noirrie is in the heart of a 200 hectares forest estate: six bridle paths start from the house and interconnect with public trails. This network offers great walks, mountain bike hikes (bikes are available at La Noirrie) and horseback riding (booking required) fun. You can go 25 kilometers without ever needing to use an asphalt road.
