Yeadon Dam

abandoned

crowded desrted

attraction

dogs and people play

round forgotten shelters

dank toilets

and pointless pines

there's a strong cold wind

leaves a warm glow of calm

freshens the mind

with ripples

ducks and planes

struggle into the sky

broken reeds

like skeletal fingers

fend off litter

and countless laps

everyone gathers

to be alone

even youths

have a night

on the tarn
