About Bob 70-71

- Know any others ??! Let me know and I'll include them on this page.

Summer 2004

Roger Hynd (Crystal Palace)

Dear Bob ,
Just going through the web when I seen your site , noticed
you had a "where are they now ?" section , just some info if you need it .
Roger Hynd , the former Palace and Birmingham City defender, was untill last year, a physical education teacher at a high school in Lanarkshire, recently retired .

P.S. yes he's still a bruiser (er...allegedly, Bob)

Regards , Garry Nichol (Former pupil)

Harry Thomson (Blackpool)

Hi Bob, I ws looking through your website at the Blackpool squad from the 70-71 season . Harry still lives in Barrow in Furness, retired but looks after the pitches and changing rooms on the local pitches where he watches his 2 grandchidren playing in the under 11's & under 8's local leagues.

If you need anymore info just let me know, he's my father.

Scott

Great to hear from you, Scott, thanks very much. Any questions anyone wants me to pass on ??

Dennis Burnett and Barry Salvage (Millwall)

Accessed your site again today, and saw you were looking for information on Dennis Burnett.

What I know about Dennis is that he's still in to the painting and decorating business, and that he had tremendous success as a player-manager with my local club, Haugar, in the 70's and 80's.

He came to Haugar when they were playing in the 3rd division in 1978, and when he left after the 1981 season, we had played in The Norwegian Premier League, Norwegian FA Cup final, and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup.

He is still held in very high regard here in Haugesund, Norway.

Today he lives in, or around Brighton.

We also had Barry Salvage (a former QPR and Brighton player, who died tragically in the early eighties during a London marathon) in our team in the 1978-season, but he had left by the time of the three above mentioned achievements.

Best wishes

Roald Osmundsen

Requests

Peter Wall (Crystal Palace)

Could you tell what has happened to this ex palace player - last we knew he went to Tampa Bay Rowdys?   Thanks Mike Long

Joe Hayes (ex- Manchester City, Barnsley and England)

Hi Bob,  Through your superb web site you can find out whatever happened to Joe Hayes ? All the best, Graham Bryant

Micky Bullock (Orient)

Hi Bob
What a wonderful interesting website you have.  (Thank you - Bob) I just stumbled across it when I was inputting the name into a search engine, Barrie Fairbrother.
Yes, you've probably guessed, I am an ardent O's lifelong Fan, although I now live in the North-East (Saltburn By the Sea).
I am now wanting to know if anyone has heard of the whereabouts of Micky Bullock, who accompanied Barrie Fairbrother up-front so to speak. I would say he was a legend for the O's !
Thanks in anticipation and keep up your brilliant work.
Very best wishes
Sharon Mercer
