Macari in Trouble
Lou Macari (Celtic squad) is in a spot of bother.
The BBC site reports it so...
Huddersfield
manager Lou Macari has been charged with violent
behaviour towards a match official and could be hit
with a 12-game touchline ban by the Football
Association if he is found guilty.
Macari appeared to shove Barry Wade in the chest as
tempers flared following a challenge by Town
midfielder Simon Baldry on Portsmouth's Ceri Hughes
in the 1-1 draw on Saturday.
The former Celtic boss insisted he did not realise
what he had done, but was ordered from the dug-out
and later moved from his seat in the stand.

Taylor Nearly In Trouble
Peter Taylor (Southend) is having far too much fun for
the press to let him get away with it. Big thanks for Forfoxsake.com - News for this report everyone else
was being too scared of litegation to report it !
Today's Sunday
People is reporting that City and England manager
Peter Taylor had a secret tryst with a scantily clad
ex- page 3 model after the Sports Review Of The Year
show.
The scantily clad
model in question was Gemini Reynolds an old friend
of Taylor's who he had not seen for sometime.Taylor
admitted that he had made an error in judgment; but
denied that anything happened between them.
According to the
Sunday People Gemini said "I greeted him at the
door with my dressing gown over my bra, knickers and
stockings. I hadn't seen Peter for 20 years and he
looked fantastic. In his dark shirt and tight fitting
trousers he looked years younger than he is and I
fancied him like mad. Any woman would. It's not every
day the manager of England comes knocking on your
hotel door at nearly midnight. But I can
categorically say that we didn't have sex."
Taylor was quick to
answer the article admitting that he had gone to see
Gemini but only to chat with an old friend. "I
realise I have made an error in judgment and I regret
and appolagise for the hurt and embarrassment I may
have caused to my colleagues. I did go to the hotel
room to meet this girl who I had know about 25 years
ago. She contacted me again when she heard that I had
got the Gillingham job. We arranged to meet at the
hotel.
"For me it had
been a very excitable evening and when I got to the
room she was wearing just a bra and pants. As soon as
I saw her I realised immediately that I should have
just turned, walked away and left. But I didn't. I
stayed there just to catch up on what we had been
doing over the years like a pair of old friends.
Things could have easily got out of hand but they
didn't. I can categorically say that we did not have
sex. Looking back on it, I realise that it was stupid
and naive. I am happily married and I love my wife
and children.
City chairman John
Elsom was also quick to jump to Taylor's defence by
saying, "Peter has done a fantastic job since he
joined us. This in no way affects his position at the
club and we are confident that he will continue to
bring further success to us." Gemini apparently
met Taylor when he was a winger for Crystal Palace
back in the 70's.
Taylor was already
married to his beloved wife Jenny while Gemini was
seeing someone at the time and the two were just
friends.Although the whole situation seems harmless
enough Taylor should expect his private life to be
put under scrutiny when he is the manager of England
and a Premiership side.
Dalglish Avoids Trouble
Kenny Dalglish (Celtic
squad)
meanwhile goes to Court and comes out a bit richer, but
settled for a lower amount to avoid further Court action.
Football365.com - Dalglish reports ...
FORMER Celtic
director of football, Kenny Dalglish, has been
awarded more than £600,000 after being sacked by the
club last summer.
At the five-minute hearing in the Court of Session in
Edinburgh Mr Dalglish's lawyers accepted the payout
and in turn the club agreed to drop a counter claim
against him.
Mr Dalglish had originally been seeking £950,000
along with £35,163 worth of pension contributions
from Celtic after being sacked in June. The £950,000
claim was made up of a payment of £750,000 the club
was obliged to pay on termination of his contract
plus £200,000 in share options.
The £750,000 comprised payment of an after tax
year's salary of £371,880, loss of company car, and
loss of health, disability and life insurance
benefits and pension contributions made by Celtic in
the notice period.
It also included loss of an opportunity to earn an
''executive performance incentive bonus'' of
£144,000 and a ''football achievement bonus'' of
£60,000.
But the former Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland legend
agreed to take £585,000 and £27,522 along with
interest payments. Brian Napier, advocate for Mr
Dalglish, whose address was given as Belhaven Court,
Newton Mearns, Glasgow, said it was agreed the matter
would be settled today.
He asked Lord Macfadyen a decree for the reduced sum
be granted in return for the counter claim being
dropped, which was granted.
Cruyff
News
Couple of
things came up about Johan Cruyff (Ajax). Surfing the other day I came
across the Dumbarton site cruyffsaysno.co.uk I'm not sure why yet.
And
secondly, Ron Atkinson's column in the 'Guardian' last week is about
how highly he rates the Ajax and Barcelona hero. See News.

Hamilton Resigns
Bryan Hamilton (Linfield) has resigned as manager of
Norwich City after less than a year in charge. The
resignation followed 5 defeats by the team which are
placed 20th in Division One, just 4 points clear of the
relegation zone. Some of the Norwich fans had begun to
call for the manager's resignation, nevertheless is came
as a surprise when it happened. See Norwich City FC - News Archive
