Sven-Göran Flattered

Sven-Göran Eriksson (Karlskoga) must currently be feeling tested that imitation is the greatest form of flattery as he appears on BBC television a dozen times or more every night promoting BBC comedy.

Sven-Göran is seen in a minimalist style all white room and portrayed as a Swede, who cannot understand why the British find various comedy situations as funny, and is interspersed with tasters of forthcoming comedy programmes.

The star of the 30-45 second clips called 'Sven on the BBC' is actually Alistair McGowern, for whom Sven-Göran is one of his main 'characters'.

Sven-Göran is also one of the main characters for the satirical animation programme 2DTV, see News.

Yorath Commentates

Freed from his role as Sheffield Wednesday manager, Terry Yorath (Leeds United) has returned to commentating on football. Unlike his daughter, Gabby Logan, Terry is presently on the BBC offering expert analysis for Radio Leeds' coverage on Bradford City. When Leeds United are playing at the same time as Bradford, this requires retuning the radio from FM to AM as the channel splits to cover both matches.
