Congratulations to John Lambie the second ever winner of the prostigious Top Bob Award. He wins the trophy from Sir Alex Ferguson, last year's winner. 'The Great Lambino' - first brought to the site's attention by Partick Thistle fan, Doctor Paul - is a clear and worthy winner, as Partick Thistle were the first UK team last season to be declared Champions of their League (Scottish Second Division).

John Lambie won a full 50 per cent of the vast 162 votes. Sir Alex was well beaten into second place with 21 per cent of the vote. Eddie Gray and Brian Kidd were third. The vote was held over the two month period of the mid-season break, and was for the player or manager from the 70-71 season who contributed the most to the 2000-2001 football season. Norman Hunter is the winner of the Special Bob Award, won last year by his Leeds team mate, Eddie Gray. This award is given by me, the webmaster to my personal champion of the 70-71 season. Norman wins his prize for his years as a match day commentator on Radio Leeds (See BBC Online - Radio Leeds - Homepage). Norman's fabulously biased to Leeds commentry almost makes missing being at the game itself worth while. Thanks Norman.
