* Derby County for Champions ?! (See Quizlet.) Last month I asked which team out of the top six from the end of the 1969-70 season would finish the highest in 2000-2001 ! As ususal Leeds United fans let me down, and 51% of the vote went to Derby County. Of course, I strongly suspect there was one Derby voter voting 51% of the times, but ... hey ... there's no rule against that. (Hurrrumph!)
Good luck Derby I really hope this poll proves correct ... NOT!
* Whilst surfing around I came across this interesting story about Millwall running up to the second World War. They reached the semi-final 3 times and had a great team broken up by the War break. See millwallonline.co.uk - Story
* Last year Ryman League side, Wealdstone celebrated their centenary. Gallery shows lots of interesting pictures from their first 100 years.
* There's a new site with some great pictures of Leeds' 'Glory Years' at Twelve at the Top - The Story in Words and Pictures of Leeds United's Great Years 1963 to 1975
*There was a good response to the link to the 36-0 Arbroath winning team, more information on the match appears at 36-0. This alternative Arbroath site also shows some pictues of ex-stars as protrayed on soccer Bubblegum cards
